Reasons to be wary of Teen Driving habits:

•  FLHSMV accident records for 2023 show that teenagers were involved in 83,500 accidents, resulting in over 120 fatalities. 
• Common Violations: Speeding is the top violation for Florida teens, followed by careless driving. In Orange County, recent fatal crashes were specifically linked to excessive speed.
• Distractions: The leading distraction for teen drivers is other teen passengers, followed by cell phone use and infotainment systems.
• Teenagers driving without a valid license or insurance coverage can be charged with 2nd-degree misdemeanor, juvenile detention, fines up to $500, and vehicle impoundment. Repeat offenses can elevate to 1st-degree misdemeanors, resulting in up to 1 year in jail.

At Pinnacle Driver Safety Orlando, we prioritize teaching driving skills, with Defensive Driving being our main focus. Our 'best in Orlando driving instructors' are dedicated to providing customized, on-the-road skills that will arm students with the necessary confidence, driving techniques, and awareness to navigate the busy central Florida roads safely.

Courses available include:

• on-the-road driving techniques for teens prepping for a Road Test.
• Training Learner Permit students to comply with the recently introduced Mandatory Teenager Law, requiring 6 hours of training. 
• Compassionate training for nervous students.
• Refresher adult programs for licensed over-50s and out-of-state drivers.

Instructors are Florida State-licensed, have a clean driving license for at least the last 3 years, experienced drivers themselves, and have the patience and exemplary communication skills required in this occupation.

Our vehicles are insured for commercial teaching lessons, clean, roadworthy, and fitted with dual-control brakes.

Lessons are normally available between 5 and 7 days a week. We can start at 9:00 am,  with the last one scheduled for 4:00 pm. However, we do recommend at least one "after sunset" lesson for students enrolling for one of our 4+ or 6+ and higher Packages. Our lessons last 90 minutes because our extensive experience shows that a one-hour lesson is too short and a two-hour one is sometimes too overbearing, especially for our younger students. Rest assured, we are compliant with  FLHVS requirements.

We collect and return students to/from home, work, school, or college.

We start by assessing the new student's driving experience, fears, concerns, and their understanding of all Florida State road laws and signage. Student/parent input is pivotal in helping the instructor compile a customized 'Training Action Plan (TAP)'. We document what was covered in lessons; this acts as a  'route map' for forthcoming lessons. A copy is available for the student and/or parent upon request.
